The idea of virtual reality in the classroom sounds like a interesting and interactive way for students to learn. Video games in the classroom… What could be better? Technology in the classroom as advanced so much already, why not add virtual reality. VR wouldn’t just be fun but also can motivate and get students attention in learning. “VR use can help students in the comprehension and assimilation of concepts, coming up as a valid alternative to get good results” (2012, p. 296). The article explained how VR would be a great way to teach topics that are impossible to explore in the real world. For example, like the human body, that reminded me how Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus would take her class on trips through the human body, or into space. When I used to watch that show I always wanted to go on school trips like that.
Now it could be possible with virtual reality in the classroom. Opportunity to learn about real situations, lettings us encounter hard and dangerous situations through an arterially created stimulation without getting hurt in real life.
