Socrative is a free program (with the option to purchase accounts with paid features) which can be used through any device that is connected through the internet at Socrative's website. You are also able to download the app as well. Students do not to create their own account (and also remember another username and password) as they simply follow the teacher's instructions to access their class through the unique classroom code.
It is a great system that students can be used in any subject that the classroom teacher sees fit and can be used from Grades 1-12. Socrative can be used in the classroom to get all students to engage in discussions and questions and can be used as an exit slip. You are also able to get feedback from students and give feedback to students.
Socrative can be used to make and share tests with other colleagues. It marks multiple choice and true and false questions automatically, once you upload your answer keys. You can also download your files (quizzes and results) through standard email, or to your Google Drive.. Furthermore, Socrative gives you flexibility and knowledge with your quizzes. For example, you can see live results as a quiz is being run, or have your quiz randomized among the class (both question order and option order within multiple choice questions). This program helps teachers mark quizzes quickly and efficiently.
