The world of science is amazing and it is even more so for kids who can watch the fantastic things that can happen with experiments. It is even more so when you can use everyday things found in your own home. This is especially helpful now in the online world of teaching.
Choice is also important. Giving choice of what to learn is key to intrinsic learning. As such while you need to teach science, you can also give a student the choice of what to learn. An example of this is the video below, which shows 5 different science experiments. As a teacher the students can choose which one they want to see giving them the say in what they learn contributing to motivation and the excitement of learning.
