When looking at the strategies of Oral and Reading Language for our students, these are some things we need to be mindful of:

• Students come from various backgrounds, families, socio-economic status, cultures and many different first languages.

• Each student is unique and needs to feel seen, validated and represented.

• The ICDL foundation is a virtual platform that has a collection of books from all over the world. The collection represents both historical and current books from many different countries.

• The books are culturally responsive and the ICDL foundation has a mission to encourage children to be effective global citizens.

• Digital collection. It promotes 21st century modern education delivery, and free of charge.
