As we headed back to school this week, my teaching partner and I were busy thinking of fun activities to do with our little kinders. With the weather being super warm, we finally had a nice day at the end of the week for some outdoor learning.
We took our kinders on a scavenger hunt around our school. We got ready to be explorers with our clipboards, pencils, tracking sheet and magnifying glass and off we went! We looked for things like the tallest tree, a red flower and a singing bird. It was nice seeing the students use their senses to see, smell, touch and hear the sounds outside. The most beautiful part though, was seeing them work together. As we looked for the items on our tracking sheet, they would help each other as they found things and make sure everyone got to put a check mark or an x beside it.
