Jim Chapel's workshop on Nature journaling was exceptional!
I am already such a big fan of outdoor learning and taking the classroom outside, but I had never heard of Nature journaling. Jim introduced the concept and what that might look like, he shared his wife's (stunning) journal with us and sent us home with a wonderful resource on how to get our own students started on nature journaling.
This is something you can do from K-* (and probably older!), it is cross-curricular, open-ended, expressive, and would be a wonderful way to start, end, or come back from a busy recess time.
I cannot wait to implement this into my own learning environment someday!
