The goal of the book exchange box is for children to give a book that they have already read and take one that they have yet to read. This sparks the creativity of a new way that children can read stories that are of interest to other children. It allows the children to choose a story they enjoyed reading and put it into the box for another child to read. Depending where the box is located, it can also build on the community as you get to meet many people you have not yet seen or spoken to before.
When I first heard of the Book Exchange Box, I always thought of how much of a great idea it was for children in the communities. Although during COVID I don't think people are still using this idea, hopefully once it surpasses this idea will be up and running.
