Bright Space Assessment Tool

As teachers, we are always busy with what we would like to do in our daily kindergarten classroom. Using Bright space will allow teachers to document the work of their students in a timely manner. Rather than utilizing the majority of their time trying to remember what every student did and write it all down (observations are usually written down on sticky notes they often go lost), Bright space allows teachers to document them easily.

Bright Space is a student-friendly app that the teacher sets up for their class. When students work for a significant amount of time on a creation and would like to take a picture of it, they would use the Bright Space application to take their picture and record their voice explaining what they did. This tool is the future because teachers will still have a lot of information on what every student worked on in the classroom. Since teachers can sort every student’s recording and pictures of their work in the developmental area, they are able to see on the app which developmental areas need more work from which students in the classroom.

Technology is a vital tool that is helpful to all teachers to enhance the student’s learning experience. Since all students are different they all have different needs. Using technology in the classroom will aid every student in learning. for example when the teacher uses visuals in the classroom such as pictures, videos, drawings it allows students to better grasp the core concepts of the lesson. Technology can be used for assessments and to evaluate every student’s needs. I didn't know that an application like Bright space was used to assess students’ documentation and when I learned about it I was surprised to see it used in the classroom. A very simple application has the ability to give every teacher documentation of students' work. I learned that technology is a critical tool in every classroom and that isn't only for the teachers but also for every student.
