Teaching and learning with technology has advanced tremendously in the 21st century and even more now with the covid 19 pandemic that hit world-wide. There are several online platforms that can be utilized by teachers to teach.
There is virtual manipulative to teach math and science that can be done as a class as well as in independent work, as well as Kahoot to evaluate pre unit or even post unit to see what the students know and what they learned. There are also other several tech tools that can be used like motion math, Barefoot World Atlas, ComicLife, Sock Puppets all can be easily downloaded on the app store.
When I was a student none of this existed, if I was absent from school I had to catch up upon return, now with all this technology it is difficult for students to fall behind on their schoolwork.
