Affirmations- A great social emotional classroom strategy!

Self-affirmation or positive self-talk is the act of saying good and encouraging things about oneself and to value yourself in order to boost your self esteem and confidence.
Affirmations can create a supportive and positive classroom environment and encourages students to be supportive of each other with words, thoughts and actions. The more positive the words, interactions and experiences the students have the more likely that students will succeed  and are motivated to do better and have more faith in themselves that they can and will do the best that they can. Affirmations can also be used as tools to encourage students socially and emotionally by using kind and positive words to those around them.
