This is a great resource for teaching grade 2 phonemic awareness. It focuses on students pronunciation, rhyme production, isolated sounds, blending phonemes, segmenting words, and alphabetic knowledge. This is a PDF of a screener assessment to determine whether Heggerty Phonemic Awareness curriculum should be part of a child's intervention instruction.
It can be used even to help create lesson for phonemic awareness. Heggerty makes phonemic awareness lesson plan booklets that are incredibly helpful both for the teacher and have a lot of exercises that involve the whole class and are a lot of fun. The lessons are also directly linked to the curriculum of the specific grade. Here is a link that offers some samples from the Heggerty book to get a sense of what it has to offer.
What I like about these lessons is it involves the whole class, and is done orally. The book even give hand motions to use that help learning and make it fun for the student.
