Jamboard is an online interactive digital whiteboard that allows students to collaborate, brainstorm and engage with each other. It is simple for students to share and view the learning materials on Jamboard as it is accessible to students through a number of platforms. Jamboard provides students and teachers with various features that promote creativity, organization, engagement and collaboration in the classroom. Students can draw and write on the board and add sticky notes and images to express their understanding. Jamboard provides students with the opportunities to share their ideas, work together and engage with the learning material at the same time. Many templates are available for teachers to upload when incorporating Jamboard in the classroom. These templates can include materials to teach various learning skills, such as math skills, days of the week and skills to determine the pros and cons. Teachers can also use Jamboard to get to know their students as they complete their own Jams about their preferences and for teachers to check in on their students as they are learning. The options are limitless. My placement teacher uses Jamboard in her classroom, and the students enjoy it. She uses it as an online whiteboard for various subjects, such as showing students how to solve math problems and show their work. The teacher also uses it to allow students to collaborate with their peers while completing their work. Jamboard is a great tool created by Google that teachers should implement in their classrooms, as it is easy to use and promotes collaboration and engagement.
