Reading Bear is an online resource for children to learn phonics and expand their vocabulary. The website will demonstrate how to pronounce various sounds, for example, short a, by providing words, pictures and sentences. 

To further develop the child's understanding, the system also provides rhyming words in a similar fashion to aid in forming connections. 

Finally, quizzes can be taken to demonstrate learning and form a review of the words and sounds learned through the modules.

 

Engaging students in online learning has proven to be a challenge for many teachers. With websites such as Reading Bear, students are provided with an opportunity to learn and improve their reading skills while having fun online.
