Here are three virtual interactive 'ready-to-go' Drama lessons. These fun and engaging role-play experiences directly target curriculum expectations for Drama, as well as including cross-curricular links to Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Creating Pathways to Success.
Grades 1-3: 'Let's Explore Your Community' – Led by Kelly Wong, Shaw Actor, students take on the role of explorers and are introduced to the wonderful world of theatre and theatre-making. Teacher's Guide included.
Grades 4-6: 'Theatre Detectives' – In-role as detectives, students solve the case of The Case of the Missing Shaw Actor. Teacher's Guide included.
Grades 7-12: 'Unlocking the Shaw Festival Theatre – A Virtual Backstage Challenge' – students select personal avatars and explore backstage at the Shaw Festival to solve puzzles and ensure the show can go on! FYI - game is played in the Gather.Town platform on a Chrome or Firefox web browser. Pre-registration is required.
