Bringing AI Literacy to Early Grades: Practical Resources and Guidance for Teachers

There is a lot of debate around using AI with children. From what I have seen in the Canadian context, the general approach is to avoid giving children in the early grades direct access to generative AI.

That caution is understandable. Children are still developing their cognitive, emotional, and social skills. We need to think carefully about where AI might support that development and where it might take over activities children need to practise themselves.
