Building Confidence With A Growth Mindset
A great way to build confidence in a classroom is to have a growth mindset. A growth mindset is a belief that intelligence is something that can be developed over time through means like effort and instruction. Having a growth mindset as an educator is believing that everyone has the potential to grow in their abilities. This in turn creates a safe and inclusive environment where students can step out of their shells and become the best learners they can be! One way I would incorporate this into my classroom is by having a colourful 'Growth Mindset' bulletin board so that students can have a daily visual reminder of the power they possess in learning.
