Teaching on TikTok!

While browsing and scrolling through a very popular and fun app called Tik Tok, I came across an account that was of interest to my future teaching career. His name is Kit (@kjbr0wn)  and he is a famous teacher tiktoker from the UK. He often posts about his daily life as a primary teacher, what his day consists of, different classroom activities, and gives viewers a more realistic look into the life of an educator. He is a younger teacher which is something that I as one of the youngest teacher candidates in my class can further relate to. His page consists of hundreds of videos pertaining to teaching, motivation, engagement and learning, and I recommend anyone interested in the teaching career to check them out!

Below I have attached the tik tok that caught my attention in terms of teaching young students about the idea of making mistakes. He explains to his students that making mistakes is a part of learning and it is something that even himself, as the teacher, will continue to do as well. He engaged his class in these conversations by co-creating a mind map. He also has videos showing how he marks classwork, shares lesson plans, and shows us the different areas of learning in his classroom. Check him out below!
