Classroom Management

Every teacher approaches the new school year in their own unique way. I would like to approach the new school year by getting the children in a circle and taking some time to set up the classroom agreements with the whole class.

I find the classroom agreements beneficial in many ways. They are the foundation of establishing a successful classroom. They guide the children towards understanding what behaviour is anticipated from them at school. It will deter students from misbehaving in the classroom. It will also eliminate, distractions and possible misconduct that interferes with learning. In addition to preventing any unsafe behaviour that might occur in the classroom for example bullying.

The classroom agreements are established to create a positive and conducive atmosphere for all children to learn. It will guild them when making choices and teach them to be a bucket filler. Essentially school should be a learning and engaging environment not a negative experience for students.
